Woman’s remains found near suspected serial killer dumping ground in CT

The remains of a woman identified this month were found in a remote wooded area in Litchfield County that has become known as a possible dumping ground for homicide victims dating back to the 1980s and 1990s.

Authorities say there is no connection between the death of Brianna Beam, whose remains were identified this month after being discovered in December, and the other deaths over the years.

North Coast community Facebook pages have continued to circulate an unsubstantiated rumor that a serial killer is preying upon women in Mendocino, Sonoma, and Napa Counties. This assumed serial killer’s victims were originally two Mendocino County women but has grown to include one from Sonoma County, and another from Napa County.

We reached out to all three law enforcement agencies investigating the deaths of these four women. All, in their own way, made it clear there was no known connection between these tragedies and these cases are not a result of any serial killer preying on women.

Body of fifth victim may be linked to alleged ‘shopping cart’ serial killer

A man police have dubbed the “shopping cart killer” may be linked to the body of a fifth victim found in Washington, DC, authorities said on Friday.Anthony Robinson, 35, has already been charged with the killing of two women.Investigators believe Robinson met his victims on dating websites and allegedly lured them into motels where he killed them and transported their bodies in shopping carts.

Police received a “critical tip” this week that might connect Robinson to another case in which a woman’s body was found in a shopping cart in Washington, DC, Fairfax County Police Bureau Chief of Major Crimes Cyber and Forensics Ed O’Carroll said in a news conference on Friday.

South Florida authorities link serial killer to 3 women’s deaths

Brazilian man accused of crimes died in 2005 plane crash, investigators say

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office and City of Miami Police Department announced Tuesday that they have linked a serial killer to the killings of three young women in South Florida decades after the women were killed.

The body of Kimberly Dietz-Livesey was the first to be discovered on June 22, 2000. Broward County Sheriff Gregory Tony said her body had been placed inside a suitcase that was found along a roadway in Cooper City.

Weeks later, on Aug. 9, 2000, the body of Sia Demas was found stuffed inside a duffel bag along a road in Dania Beach.

Authorities said the serial killer, identified as Roberto Wagner Fernandes, who lived in Miami but was a Brazilian citizen, also killed Jessica Good, whose body was found floating in Biscayne Bay on Aug. 30, 2001.

Little Rock Police Scramble To Identify Suspected Serial Killer After Multiple Stabbings

Arkansas authorities are asking the public for assistance in identifying a possible serial killer who they say is behind multiple stabbings that have occurred in Little Rock since August.

Detectives in Arkansas are investigating the identity of a possible serial killer behind a series of late-night slashings in Little Rock in recent months. 

Since August, four people have been stabbed in the early morning hours on the city’s west side. Three victims have died after being attacked. 

On Aug. 24, Larry McChristian, 64, was stabbed to death at 2200 South Gaines Street, KATV reported. Nearly a month later, Jeff Welch, 62, was fatally stabbed at 4218 W. 12th St. Police said he had puncture wounds to his neck. The third knife attack unfolded on April 11, when a 43-year-old woman sustained more than a dozen stab wounds after she was attacked at 1906 S. Pulaski Street. She survived the attack, according to investigators. The next day, the body of a homeless man was found on Wright Avenue, according to police.
